There are multiple good features of Slack that I came across in my previous organisation, where Slack was used for Internal Messaging and Communication. Some of the most prominent features that I am in love with are Clean management of Channels and Threaded Conversation, You can even name Channel groups as per your own need. File search and sharing is so powerful that it takes just seconds to search, even if there are GBs of files stored within Slack. And icing on the cake was its deep integrations with varied platforms, which other competitors can only dream of in their dreams, making it a tool easy to use and implement. Being honest with my heart, there is no feature in Slack that I dislike. Only additional feature which I think could be handy from the perspective of future roadmap is Email Integration else everything looks fine by far in my 5 years of usage history of Slack App. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First of all, Slack has a simple and clean user interface that makes it easy for everyone to navigate through it freely. Its features are easy to use and the learning curve was short and brief. We have been able to automate most of our everyday tasks thanks to Slack automations. Slack project templates makes it quick to create abd setup new projects. It offers multiple ways to communicate including messaging, audio and video calls which makes it possible to achieve free flow of information among the team members. Slack has plugins that gave us an easy experience integrating it with other third party products we use. It is very flexible and we were able to customize it during implementation in order to fit our needs. Slack allows us to plan effectively for our projects by creating task lists to keep everyone up to speed with the tasks at hand. Slack high-end security features gives us a very secure space to store all project documents and to safely access and work on our project data. It has been easy to collaborate on our projects from start to the very end thanks to the collaboration features offered by Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I genuinely lack anything negative about Slack to report about. The experience has been flawless and we have not discovered any aspect that does not work as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I love most about Slack is how fluid and organized the communication feels. Channels keep conversations focused and easy to reference, and the ability to share files, visuals, Figma links, and Loom videos directly in threads helps streamline our creative process. It reduces back-and-forth, and everything is searchable when you need to look back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Slack’s integrations are generally excellent, the Google Meet integration could use some improvements. I’ve noticed that I don’t receive timely or clear notifications for upcoming meetings, which occasionally causes friction in our tightly scheduled workflows. A more seamless experience—like automatic reminders or better visibility of meeting links—would make a big difference, especially for teams that rely heavily on Google Workspace. One of the things I appreciate most about Slack is its user-friendly interface—it’s incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate, making onboarding and daily usage smooth for everyone on the team. Whether it's managing multiple channels or jumping between conversations, everything feels streamlined.
Another standout feature is its seamless integration with other tools like Google Drive, Jira, Zoom, and GitHub. This makes it much more than just a messaging platform—it becomes a central hub for collaboration and productivity. We use Slack every day, not just for quick chats, but also for tracking project updates, sharing documents, and coordinating across teams.
Its real-time notifications and ability to organize discussions by topic (via channels) help reduce email clutter and keep communication focused and efficient. Overall, Slack is a vital part of our workflow and helps keep everyone connected and aligned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Slack is a fantastic tool for team communication and daily collaboration, there are a few areas where it could improve. One minor but noticeable issue is the lack of emphasis in text formatting, particularly when using bold. Bolded text doesn’t stand out as much as expected, especially in busy channels with a high volume of messages—it can easily get overlooked, reducing its usefulness for highlighting important information.
Additionally, as conversations grow, it can sometimes be difficult to keep track of threaded messages, especially when switching between multiple channels. A more prominent or simplified way to manage threads could enhance the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What's most helpful about Slack is how it keeps all my communities conversations organized in one place. I'm part of several active groups like Sales blazer, Tableau, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud Learning Camp and even Slack's own community. Its easy to jump into discussions, find answers and connect with knowledgeable people. The real time chats, organised channels and useful integration make sharing info and collaborating smooth and hassle free. Slack was really easy to start using. I didn't need any setup help or onboarding. I haven't needed much support so far but the help articles and in-app guidance have been more then enough when i had questions.
I use it everyday to stay connected with groups mentioned above.
I especially like the Hurdle feature. Its great for quick, informal voice conversation without having to set up a formal meeting. It makes connecting with others feel more natural and helps get questions answer faster. Overall Slack help me stay connected and learn from wide range of professionals without feeling lost. One challenge with slack is that when you're part of many communities, it can be tricky to keep up with all the notifications. The least helpful part is sometimes missing important updates because messages come quickly from diffrent channels. The downside is that it takes sometime to adjust your notification setting so you don't get overwhelmed. But once you find the right balance its manageable and doesn't take away from the overall great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack is incredibly easy to use, The notifications feature is best and one of my favorite feature. I can manage my notification based on my priority, that helps me to stay focused. Status feature is also great. Lately I have been using slack canvas also I can easily implement canvas template as per my cases.overall experience is so smooth. I use daily from last 7 years and I integrated many applications with slack like scheduler, my blogs subscription, outlook meeting and many other applications. As a consultant and developer , I always want a place where I can have seamless communication accross team and with team members, integrate platform with different systems so things are easily accessible, customize notification and search things easily. These are all possible here like like I have done integrations with Jira, gDrive, Calenders, Salesforce, Seamless and what not and created a bunch of workflows.
it is so easy to use and customize.
I love it how it gets integrated and makes my work easier and everything at a single platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With a lot of things running , it gets busier sometimes which becomes hard for me to stay focused. Trying to manage with turning off notification for sometime which works for me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Slack is how it keeps all our team communication in one place. Instead of chasing down comments or jumping between apps like JIRA and Figma, we can quickly message each other, share files, and get feedback without breaking our workflow. The ability to create different channels for different projects or departments makes it easy to stay organized. Also, being able to integrate tools like Google Drive and Calendar has made remote work much smoother and with less distraction. It really cuts down on time wasted and helps everyone in the team to stay on the same page and another best thing is Setting up Slack was straight forward Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
not a dislike but it is like that some times conversations can become overwhelming if not properly managed, especially in large teams or very active channels. Important messages can get buried quickly, and while search is powerful but I still suffer some time, although that is bearable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack has completely transformed how our team collaborates. The real-time messaging, intuitive channel organization, and integration with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Salesforce help us streamline communication and boost productivity. The ability to pin important messages, search through past conversations, and set reminders is incredibly valuable for keeping everyone aligned. Huddles and Clips make remote collaboration feel more personal, and the mobile app ensures I'm never out of touch, even on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Slack is incredibly powerful, it can become overwhelming in larger teams due to constant notifications and message overload. Sometimes, important messages get buried under threads or channel noise. Also, the pricing can feel steep for smaller teams or startups wanting access to premium features like message history and integrations. A bit more control over notification customization and improved message threading could make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how Slack simplifies team communication through organized channels, real-time messaging, and integrations with tools we already use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
