Slack carries it's ease of use through its easily accessible channels and direct messages. each tab is organized according to the organizer and direct messages show the people involved in the project for the semester. if you join conversations, the activity tab helps keep track of such making a feeling of ease of feature integration. using it everyday for a period of a semester in school was super straight forward. the learning slack help center makes customer support 10x faster, meaning step by step videos or tutorials on how to use certain features are readily available. you can finish projects faster with the ease of some of the newer features implemented such as the slack bot and working with AI in slack. existing workflows are super easy to create, my favorite feature! sometimes when creating a slack workflow , it can be a bit oversimplified or slow in the beginning, other than that no significant lag or features related issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am using Slack since 2 months.
Before this, i have used several Team Communication platforms for the past 3 years in my professional experience.
You know what ?
As of now, my only default way of communicating within my organization has become Slack.
Slack's user interface is cool. The best thing is that we can edit the sent messages or delete it as well. The huddles or meetings which we take in Slack is super convenient as it offers multiple features or settings in meetings interface.
Another feature which i like the most is that we can add a huge number of people as a network group and discuss or share about lots of issues and ideas as a part of community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, When we try to open the Slack in laptop, It first redirects to browser and then it opens Slack. Even after connecting to office network or VPN, this small thing occurs. This step takes around 10-15 seconds when we open Slack at the start of work when we turn on the laptop.
This is the only small and minor dislike that i can think of about Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack is already central to our daily communication, and the upcoming AI Agent capabilities seem promising. The recent webinar gave a clear overview of how agents like Agentforce could streamline workflows by helping employees retrieve answers, complete tasks, and interact with systems without leaving Slack. I appreciate Slack’s focus on usability and integration, and I’m looking forward to trying these features once they’re available in our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Right now, it's unclear how visibility and access controls work when using AI agents in shared vs. private spaces. I’d like to see more transparency around whether agent conversations are public in channels or private like DMs. Also, some of the agent features discussed in the webinar aren't yet available in our Slack instance, which makes it hard to evaluate them fully. Slack saves so many potential emails, it is incredible. It is an easy way to send a quick message to a colleague. You can easy send fun messages to colleagues as well - Gifs and images! The integration and tools added are also great - zoom, audio messages, google docs. The fact that we can make many different channels with different privacy settings is great. It is easy to use and I use it on a daily basis. You can show when you are on vacation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There can be too many channels that you have to clean up often, or it gets overwhelming. When I forget to mute, getting messages during meets comes with the loud sound. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack allows me to work remotely, stay in touch with my co workers, share files, and be very productive. We are in touch daily-actually several times a day. I find it very easy and intuitive to use. I have not had the pleasure of using customer support, but I suspect with the great product they offer, they do a great job, too!! Thank you, Slack for making it easy to be productive and in constant communication! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Slack for three years now, and the only problem I have had is on my new computer which does not have the same browser that I had originally. I have recently added that browser and it is now working better. This is the only downside I personally have experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a graphic designer working in a fully remote team, Slack has been an absolute game changer. I love how easy it is to stay in constant communication with my teammates throughout the day. Whether we are brainstorming ideas, sharing feedback, or just checking in, Slack makes everything feel seamless. The ability to create multiple, various channels for specific projects or topics is one of my favorite features–it helps keep conversations organized and they are easy to revisit later. At my current company, we have a channel specifically for pet photos! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really don't have much at all to complain about when it comes to Slack. It's extremely straightforward, easy to use, and great for remote teams to stay connected! Though I would like more sound options for notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy Slack makes it to stay connected, especially with a remote team. The notification sounds aren’t panic-inducing, video calls are simple to set up, and I love that we can have channels for everything, from team projects to fun stuff like shopping and dogs. I also like how customizable it is, you can tweak the look to suit your vibe. It keeps things organized without feeling overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I don’t like is that Slack can be slow to show notifications on desktop. Usually, I get the alerts on my phone before they even pop up on my computer, which can be a bit frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Slack is how it transforms team communication into something organized, efficient, and even enjoyable. Its channel-based system helps teams keep conversations focused on specific topics or projects, while features like threads, direct messages, and mentions ensure no message gets lost in the noise. Slack really shines with its powerful integrations — it connects seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Jira, Zoom, and Trello, letting teams collaborate without switching platforms. The built-in search is incredibly helpful, allowing users to find past messages, files, or decisions quickly. It’s also great for remote culture — emoji reactions, custom emojis, and tools like Donut and Giphy make it fun and engaging. You can even automate workflows, set reminders, and use Slackbot for routine tasks, which saves time. Whether you're sharing files, hopping on a quick huddle, or onboarding a new teammate, Slack makes everything faster, clearer, and more connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Slack sends way too many notifications, and it gets really overwhelming during the day.
2. It’s hard to switch off, because work messages keep popping up even after hours.
3. Important messages get buried under a flood of casual chats, GIFs, and random replies.
4. Threads are often misused or ignored, which makes conversations messy and hard to follow.
5. There's this unspoken pressure to reply instantly, even if you're in the middle of something else.
6. It feels like another inbox to manage, and sometimes even worse than email.
7. Too many channels make it confusing to know where to post or look for something.
8. Search isn’t always reliable, and finding old messages can be a real pain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are many things that I like about Slack but the best thing about it is the ease of use and the integration available with so many other tools. Like it can easily integrate with your Google drive, Atlassian products, etc making it easy for the teams to collaborate on documents, video files, audio files anything. The file sharing is very smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful feature of Slack is Huddles according to me, the calls are always patchy, takes time to connect, there is always a lag in the voice and when you share the screen, it is so difficult to switch to the chat window, Huddle should just be discontinued or made better. It really spoils the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Slack ecosystem is too advanced, and that is the best reason to use it for team collaboration. We can integrate multiple tools like Google Drive, Loom, and use them to work. The best part is that we can use APIs to build a personal assistant and get help with doing automated tasks, or reminders.
The UI is very simple, easy to use for our team. We use it daily for our internal team communication.
The onboarding process is too simple to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of now, we haven't found any issues but it does not work in low internet connectivity otherwise everything is good for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
