There are many things that I like about Slack but the best thing about it is the ease of use and the integration available with so many other tools. Like it can easily integrate with your Google drive, Atlassian products, etc making it easy for the teams to collaborate on documents, video files, audio files anything. The file sharing is very smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful feature of Slack is Huddles according to me, the calls are always patchy, takes time to connect, there is always a lag in the voice and when you share the screen, it is so difficult to switch to the chat window, Huddle should just be discontinued or made better. It really spoils the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Slack ecosystem is too advanced, and that is the best reason to use it for team collaboration. We can integrate multiple tools like Google Drive, Loom, and use them to work. The best part is that we can use APIs to build a personal assistant and get help with doing automated tasks, or reminders.
The UI is very simple, easy to use for our team. We use it daily for our internal team communication.
The onboarding process is too simple to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of now, we haven't found any issues but it does not work in low internet connectivity otherwise everything is good for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the feature of how we can add channels and Apps. This has helped me a lot to easily stay connected with the groups or communities. Its very easy to login aswell. I use it regularly on a daily basis. If i need any help i can just type my query in chat bot and it helps me to find a resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently slack does not provide an option to see if the person has read the message or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

organizing the conversion based on topic or a particular project is possible. Slack can be integrated into google drive, zoom and many more. very easy to use just like any normal apps. Very easy to implement on a pc even non technical users can do it. Even in the free version customer support is available for all users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paid plans are too expensive for large organization while comparing to other alternative apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It brings everything into one place and makes communication and collaboration feel so seamless. The real-time messaging, organised channels and integration with apps. Plus, the ability to customize notifications and create channels for specific projects or teams is a game changer. It really feels like a space where you can manage all your work without it getting chaotic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you don’t manage your notifications or channels well, it’s easy to miss important messages or just get lost in the noise. The search function is good, but sometimes it is hard to find specific messages when everything starts to pile up, and that can be a bit frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fairly easy to navigate and the ability to create various channels is a really cool feature. It also has a good amount of customization for the user. It is used by pretty much everyone in our office on a daily basis which allows for effective communication. additionally, it is very user friendly which makes it a primary choice for communication within the office. There really is not much to "dislike" about slack. If there was one thing, it would be that when you are typing in a field, if you hit enter, it automatically sends versus going down to the next line. Also, the "reply in thread" feature can be a little clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Slack is how effortlessly it brings teams together. It strikes the perfect balance between being a powerful business tool and a platform that feels genuinely enjoyable to use. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, even for new users, which makes adoption across teams really smooth.
The real-time messaging and organized channels keep conversations focused and efficient, while integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira streamline daily workflows without the need to switch platforms constantly. I also appreciate the little touches—custom emojis, GIFs, and Slackbot automations—that make communication more engaging and human, even in a fully remote environment.
Having used Slack at several companies, I can confidently say it’s one of the most effective and fun collaboration tools out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, there’s not much I dislike about Slack. It consistently works well and delivers what I need. If I had to be picky, sometimes channels can get a bit noisy in larger teams, but that’s more about team habits than the platform itself. Overall, Slack continues to be a reliable and enjoyable tool for collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using slack since 2021. We had just come out of COVID and were managing all team and client conversation over whatsapp. However that had limited visibility and did not feel like a workspace tool.
We evaluated Slack and Teams and at the time Slack felt better due to communication with other saas organisations as well has functionality of Threads which microsoft teams lacked at the time, now sure about now.
Once on slack we never looked back. It is most helpful for me as I have setup several webhooks and I get pinged from AWS for any important notifications and also Bitbucket and JIRA whenever a team member updates a branch or raises a pull request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have been some downtimes in the past.
One of them was most frustrating as we were working with another organisation on a joint project.
Don't like their huddle much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like the best about Slack is how easy it is create channels and organize all the communications in different channels. It makes easier and more fun to communicate with others, I love the integrations e.g. with some Atlassian tools. I also like the ability to create threads. And the searching functionality. For me Slack has become a knowledge repository where I can find many answers to questions that were previously asked in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack can be overwhelming if there are many channels and communications. When that happens it can be harder to stay on top of everything and to manage all the conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From a Developer's perspective, Slack proved to be a boon .It is invaluable for managing multiple projects efficiently. The way it handles all the communications of my different projects in the company. In particular, the thread functionality is very powerful while discussing different features of a single project. Also, the GitHub integration for automated alerts keeps our team instantly informed. Its seamless ability of sharing and discussing code snippets with proper formatting has helped a lot among the peers for debugging and error solving. Whenever there was need of some complex automations implementation, the slack's documentation (customer support) had been a go-to resource throughout the setup process. The one thing that I dislike about the slack is its every channel activity triggers a message to my official email, creating unnecessary cluttering of my inbox. This gets overwhelming when I had to manage multiple active project channels. Although Slack offers notification customization options, the default settings are too aggressive and the process to fine-tune them isn't intuitive enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
