Canvas is a great platform for developing trainings and programs. It's fairly intuitive and provides a simple format for entering content and provides a variety of methods that give the student or participant options to interact. There are lots of applications that can run in the background when you are using Canvas. One of the challenges is not having administrative rights that are required when you set up a program to run in the background. In general, it's very user-friendly for both instructors and students. I have used it as both. I like how the assignments build the calendar for you and you don't have to include them in your syllabus. It's also gives assignment reminders to the student and grading reminders to the instructor which I find very helpful. You can also move assignments around on the calendar and it adjusts the due dates for you!
They have published a terrific user guide online that answers almost any question you might have and so I have never had to use customer support. I also like how many external applications are compatible, like Zoom, Edpuzzle, and Yellowdig. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
