What do you like best about Slack?

What I like best about Slack is its ability to streamline team communication and reduce reliance on email. Conversations are organized into channels, which makes it easy to keep discussions focused by topic, project, or team. The real-time messaging and threaded replies help maintain context without overwhelming everyone in the workspace.

I also appreciate the wide range of integrations—from Google Drive and Zoom to Jira and custom bots—which allow work to happen directly within Slack. This makes it a true productivity hub, where updates, approvals, and collaboration all happen in one place. The search functionality is another standout feature, making it easy to find past messages, files, or decisions quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I wish searching function was much better, and also wish I could create folders to organize much better like email inbox.

There's so much communication and it's always not the easiest to organize and find what we need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

Slack carries it's ease of use through its easily accessible channels and direct messages. each tab is organized according to the organizer and direct messages show the people involved in the project for the semester. if you join conversations, the activity tab helps keep track of such making a feeling of ease of feature integration. using it everyday for a period of a semester in school was super straight forward. the learning slack help center makes customer support 10x faster, meaning step by step videos or tutorials on how to use certain features are readily available. you can finish projects faster with the ease of some of the newer features implemented such as the slack bot and working with AI in slack. existing workflows are super easy to create, my favorite feature! What do you dislike about Slack?

sometimes when creating a slack workflow , it can be a bit oversimplified or slow in the beginning, other than that no significant lag or features related issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

I am using Slack since 2 months.

Before this, i have used several Team Communication platforms for the past 3 years in my professional experience.

You know what ?

As of now, my only default way of communicating within my organization has become Slack.

Slack's user interface is cool. The best thing is that we can edit the sent messages or delete it as well. The huddles or meetings which we take in Slack is super convenient as it offers multiple features or settings in meetings interface.

Another feature which i like the most is that we can add a huge number of people as a network group and discuss or share about lots of issues and ideas as a part of community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Honestly, When we try to open the Slack in laptop, It first redirects to browser and then it opens Slack. Even after connecting to office network or VPN, this small thing occurs. This step takes around 10-15 seconds when we open Slack at the start of work when we turn on the laptop.

This is the only small and minor dislike that i can think of about Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

As an Instacart employee, Slack stands out as an essential tool for staying connected with teams and ensuring work efficiency, especially in a fast-moving environment. Here's what I like best about Slack:

Flexibility for Remote Teams: Since many employees work remotely or in hybrid setups, Slack supports effective teamwork, allowing for quick check-ins via messages or huddles. For Instacart’s operational flexibility, this is crucial.

Searchable Threads: The ability to search for specific information across channels and messages significantly enhances productivity. This is particularly important when referencing past customer insights, operational data, or team discussions.

Engagement Features: Beyond work, Slack helps build culture through emojis, polls, and fun channels like #random or #team-wins. It fosters engagement and camaraderie across the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Feature Overload: new users or teams less tech-savvy may find Slack overwhelming with its many features and integrations, potentially leading to underutilization or misuse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

Mainly it is the ability to centralize communication while keeping it organized and searchable. The use of channels for different projects, departments, or topics keeps conversations focused and easy to follow. I especially appreciate the integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, jira and sentry, which make it easy to work without constantly switching apps. Slack’s search function is also a major plus . Also the shortcuts to move to different chats and group within the slack plus people chat search and global search is a major advantage , Also the canvas feature helps track work easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

In larger teams, channels can become cluttered with messages that aren’t always relevant, making it harder to keep track of important updates. Plus sometimes the notifications are missed on phone if my mac is on sleep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is already central to our daily communication, and the upcoming AI Agent capabilities seem promising. The recent webinar gave a clear overview of how agents like Agentforce could streamline workflows by helping employees retrieve answers, complete tasks, and interact with systems without leaving Slack. I appreciate Slack’s focus on usability and integration, and I’m looking forward to trying these features once they’re available in our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Right now, it's unclear how visibility and access controls work when using AI agents in shared vs. private spaces. I’d like to see more transparency around whether agent conversations are public in channels or private like DMs. Also, some of the agent features discussed in the webinar aren't yet available in our Slack instance, which makes it hard to evaluate them fully. What do you like best about Slack?

Slack saves so many potential emails, it is incredible. It is an easy way to send a quick message to a colleague. You can easy send fun messages to colleagues as well - Gifs and images! The integration and tools added are also great - zoom, audio messages, google docs. The fact that we can make many different channels with different privacy settings is great. It is easy to use and I use it on a daily basis. You can show when you are on vacation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

There can be too many channels that you have to clean up often, or it gets overwhelming. When I forget to mute, getting messages during meets comes with the loud sound. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

Slack allows me to work remotely, stay in touch with my co workers, share files, and be very productive. We are in touch daily-actually several times a day. I find it very easy and intuitive to use. I have not had the pleasure of using customer support, but I suspect with the great product they offer, they do a great job, too!! Thank you, Slack for making it easy to be productive and in constant communication! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I have used Slack for three years now, and the only problem I have had is on my new computer which does not have the same browser that I had originally. I have recently added that browser and it is now working better. This is the only downside I personally have experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

As a graphic designer working in a fully remote team, Slack has been an absolute game changer. I love how easy it is to stay in constant communication with my teammates throughout the day. Whether we are brainstorming ideas, sharing feedback, or just checking in, Slack makes everything feel seamless. The ability to create multiple, various channels for specific projects or topics is one of my favorite features–it helps keep conversations organized and they are easy to revisit later. At my current company, we have a channel specifically for pet photos! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I really don't have much at all to complain about when it comes to Slack. It's extremely straightforward, easy to use, and great for remote teams to stay connected! Though I would like more sound options for notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

I like how easy Slack makes it to stay connected, especially with a remote team. The notification sounds aren’t panic-inducing, video calls are simple to set up, and I love that we can have channels for everything, from team projects to fun stuff like shopping and dogs. I also like how customizable it is, you can tweak the look to suit your vibe. It keeps things organized without feeling overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

What I don’t like is that Slack can be slow to show notifications on desktop. Usually, I get the alerts on my phone before they even pop up on my computer, which can be a bit frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
