As a nonprofit, clear and timely communication with our community is everything. Whether it’s an upcoming workshop, a wellness event, or an important update from our clinic, we need to reach the right people at the right time. That’s where Mailchimp comes in.
With Mailchimp, I can see engagement in real-time, who’s opening emails, clicking links, or even ignoring messages. That kind of insight means I can tweak a campaign on the fly if it’s not landing the way I expected. And the results? We’ve seen a noticeable increase in participation since we started using Mailchimp. More people are showing up, staying informed, and engaging with our services.
Honestly, I can’t imagine not using it now. It’s become an essential tool for keeping our community connected and informed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mailchimp is an excellent tool for getting our messages out, but sometimes it feels like it’s designed more for businesses than nonprofits. So many features focus on e-commerce and selling products, which isn’t what we do. I wish the nonprofit-specific tools (if they even exist) were more obvious and accessible.
It would be great if Mailchimp recognized how nonprofits use email differently, focusing on engagement, community-building, and outreach rather than sales. Right now, I feel like I have to navigate through a lot of business-driven features just to find what works for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Initiating an e-newsletter and developing a template that felt true to my brand was intimidating and something that I put off for a long time. Once I jumped in, though, I found the platform to be fairly intuitive and I was really pleased with the work that I was able to create from the get-go. I was happy to have easy integration with Shopify and opportunities to seek customer support, especially in the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It feels like the platform is geared more towards medium-sized businesses and I feel a little lost in the weeds looking at options and opportunities to market to my little cohort of customer/readers. It is difficult to understand how to tailor Mail Chimp to my needs, or rather what next-steps might be for me now that I have the basics in place (newsletter, pop ups, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Mailchimp platform provides us with an easy-to-use platform for email marketing, automation, and management of our different audiences. The ease of use is probably the main pro about the platform: the drag-end-drop email builder simplifies professional emails without the need for HTML knowledge, and the automation features allow us to efficiently schedule and personalize the emails. Additionally, the underlying analytics provide valuable insight into open rates, engagement and campaign effectiveness, which helps us refine our communication strategy. One con of Mailchimp would be the lack of flexibility in the email templates. While you can customize their templates, there isn’t much room for creativity, and we sometimes have to rely on HTML, CSS, and Javacript to get our desired results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intuit MailChimp is an excellent system for someone like me, a high level VP who operates a small staff and has to jump in and do many things myself. If this sounds like you, MailChimp is the right platform to connect with your customers and potential customers. Since moving from another platform, our engagement, click rates, open rates and fundraising has increased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One feature that would be helpful is more integration to upload Jotforms and PDFs. Maybe this is offered but I don't know how to access it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Appreciate the ability to integrate with other platforms to obtain audience contact information. The analytics offer an easy way to identify the percentage rate of readers. The step by step guide to integrate contacts from other platforms and automate that process on a daily basis assists in ensuring all contacts are imported. The variety of templates available make it easy to replicate newsletter content on a weekly basis to reach audience. Segmenting of groups is an easy way to target a specific audience. Would love to be able to tab for indenting on paragraph text to make it easier to line up indented content. Also would like to have a larger variety of fonts to choose from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a small non-profit, we need to communicate to our supporters on the regular to keep them engaged. Mailchimps branded email template save me the headache of just laying out the basics - but adds professional flair. I used one recently and (to my chagrin) our Board Member who is a marketing pro told me it was one of my best eNews ever. So ya one-upped me, but made me look good so I am not mad about that! It would be great if when we choose the “add social post” to an email if AI could pre-populate those for each channel from the email content that would move things along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how my needs are automated as much as possible especially through new user journeys. I can easily target new segments and get customers to come back to my e-commerce store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like better designs on the email templates. They look very generic. I wish there was a way to integrate Canva designs into my journeys. The existing Mailchimp email templates look very out dated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the automation capabilities, like welcome mails, drip campaigns and client onboarding. These have been very beneficial to us over the last while and we use the platform weekly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The limited design flexibility for visual content. With all the good tools built in, it still lacks that killer punch for creatives, so external tools are needed to supplement what we do on Mailchimp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

MailChimp is very intuitive compared to other marketing platforms and I love that you can send not only emails but also send SMS. I love that it makes creating emails and SMS easy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downfall is that sometimes tagging large groups of uploads takes a long time. Usually when I am uploading a large group of customers and tagging them, it is because I want to send them an email or a text. Due to the time it takes for processing by MailChimp to tag then, I usually have to come back at another time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how user friendly and easy to use the platform is. It has various features, integrations, and automations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing scales quickly which can be limited for growing businesses. There are also some limitations with customization and customer service is sometimes inconsistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
