I have been using the CleverTap platform for over three years to manage push notifications, journey notifications, in-app notifications, interstitials, and marketing emails across two accounts. My experience has been excellent so far.
The platform’s user interface is intuitive, and setting up campaigns or journeys is straightforward, even for complex workflows. What sets CleverTap apart is their customer support. Every query I’ve raised has been resolved promptly and effectively. I also appreciate their well-organized query management system, where issues can be prioritized as urgent, medium, or low. This ensures that critical issues are addressed immediately, which is a big plus for fast-paced marketing environments.
One feature that I have been recently trying my hands on is “Scribe", their integrated tool for notification content creation, which has been incredibly helpful in understanding and tweaking content based on emotions it is likely to invoke in the readers. It makes strategizing content more efficient.

In setting up journey notifications, there are no filter on specific "actions" within the event properties under the "user does not do" section in the Entry Inaction condition. I raised this with the Clevertap product team and they have assured that this additional feature is already under development and should be available some time soon. Clevertap gives you a lot of flexibility on how , who and when during campaign execution.

CleverTap's best and foremost differentiating factor is their unbeatable customer support team and the technical support team. We currently use Clevertap for it's various features but primarily for enagagement with push notifications and analytics for digging deeper and understanding our users. For new users, it might take a while to get the hang of it, like any other new skill. Another thing that could be better is the data visualisation aspects as well as creating a dashboard view across multiple boards. For now, Clevertap is one of the fundamental tools for my communication and customer retention tasks within the company where I work. The variety of channels and the tools to strategically segment the users of our application greatly simplify our effort to generate strategic communications with a real impact on the use of the application. Have been using Clevertap for the last 3 years for 3 accounts on nearly day-today basis. As a marketer, I have found Clevertap great on the fronts of ease of setting up push/journey notification, emails, interstitials, in-app notifications and more.
Some other features that I like:
- Tracking campaign performance is seamless.
- Segmentation, A/B testing, and filters for targetted marketing.
- Preset templates for email marketing are cool too.
- Admin settings that help you assign roles to team members.

One thing I always appreciate is support- their proactiveness and willngness of helping businesses to solve their use cases. Have seen the consistency of support is not limit to the scale of company. Have been part of companies where I have seen company going from 0 to 1 to 100 their dedication and responsiveness have helped us leveraging the Clevertap's full potential. I would rather write as recommendation or must have feature/requirement-
They can ehance the user experience by giving pro active alerts in the campaigns and events if stop working once it is configured. For instance, if there's a problem with events not coming through or a campaign stops delivering as expected, a pop-up alert could notify the team immediately. This would help address any issues in real-time, preventing delays in campaign performance or missed opportunities in customer engagement. 1. Would like to see options like sharing a report using boards over email.
2. For live behaviour campaigns, we cannot filter by event properties in "who have not done" section while defining the segment.
3. In some analytical features like pivots, we can only use them for event count not user count.

CleverTap provides us with the ideal mix of insights and resources for connecting with our users in a more personal manner. Their real-time analytics and flexible segmentation help us understand when and how to engage with various groups of users.
