The best thing google meet is the screen sharing feature which I find very much compatible and easy to use. Different filters for background during video conference, which completlt focuses the person before the camera. I have given all my interviews for the job and that is many, via google meet with an excellent experience regarding if I have an issue with my laptop then immediately I can jump into the call via my mobile with link. There is sometimes issue with mic while joining a meet from mobile. The downside of using a google meet I may suggest is towards security feature. A person with the meet link can easily join a call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I personally think there is a need to improve the layout of the meeting if many people are present at once. During our meetings or any fun active there are usually more than 40 agents present at once but if we try to take the screenshot of all the present folks google meet shows around 30 folks at once on a screen. We can try and increase the possible of showing more number of folks on a screen at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Large groups of people can participate in Google Meet, making it ideal for both large seminars and classes as well as small team meetings.Strong security features offered by Google Meet, such as encryption while in transit, contribute to the confidentiality and security of communications. Google Meet may not have as many sophisticated capabilities as some other platforms, particularly for specialized professional demands like more dynamic presentation tools or sophisticated webinar functionalities. There are some noise canceling functions, but they might not be as good as those provided by certain rivals, which could be problematic in loud settings.Although typically easy to use, some users may find the UI overly simplistic and devoid of customizable features seen in competing video conferencing software. Google Meet is easy to use, especially if you're familiar with Google tools. You can start meetings right from your email or calendar, and screen sharing makes presentations smoother. It's free and works almost everywhere, making it great for international meetings. You can even join by phone if needed, and it has fun features for casual or kid friendly meetings too. Google Meet can have issues with call quality, especially with large groups or on mobile. Joining by phone is often more reliable, but the platform is a bit basic and less stable compared to other apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Google Meet is its ease of use—it's simple to join meetings and navigate the platform. The ease of implementation, especially for teams already using Google Workspace, is a big plus. It integrates seamlessly with other Google tools like Calendar and Drive, making it very efficient for scheduling and sharing documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel there could be more features, especially around meeting customization, and the 60-minute limit on free meetings can be a drawback. The number of available features is decent but could improve with more interactive options like enhanced breakout rooms or polling. I use Google Meet frequently because of its overall reliability. A few tweaks in terms of features and flexibility would make it even better for regular use. I have never connected with Customer support myself but google is known for its good customer support. The connection sometimes would fail or slow down, but eventually it was for our own connection. Sometimes it would also ask to relogin, but a refresh of the page would be ok Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can minimize the meeting video and keep it floating around. I like that there's no time limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't do anything from the minimized meeting window, like share screen. I hate having the meet window in a tab- so hard to find the tab when I have too many tabs open. I end up using zoom more often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
