155 BugHerd Reviews
Bugherd is a game-changer for collaborative course development at GIBS. It cuts down time, eliminates endless screenshots and email threads, and gets everyone — from faculty (SMEs) to our learning design and LTI teams — working together in real time to improve course quality faster.
It has completely transformed how we manage quality assurance during course builds. It’s intuitive, saves hours of admin, and enables efficient, transparent collaboration across live courses. The integration with Blackboard Ultra is seamless — a huge plus for our workflow. And best of all, the customer support is phenomenal: always responsive, proactive, and ready to go the extra mile to help us find workable solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some users face a slightly steeper learning curve when first getting set up, especially where a specific browser and extension setup is required. This can delay onboarding for less tech-savvy contributors.
We’ve also found that Bugherd doesn’t handle SCORM-based content very well, particularly Articulate Rise, which we use frequently for interactive learning modules. Comments and pins don’t always stick to embedded SCORM components, which makes reviewing these elements less efficient than native web pages.
Additionally, while integration with Blackboard Ultra is now smooth, we initially had to troubleshoot workarounds for embedding in Blackboard Learn. Lastly, as a super admin, I’d really value enhanced reporting tools to track who’s created projects, added comments, and resolved bugs — essential insights for weekly reviews and strategic planning. As a designer, BugHerd has been incredibly helpful in ensuring design accuracy during development. After I complete the screen designs, I often notice inconsistencies when reviewing the developed website. BugHerd allows me to log these issues directly on the live site easily. It's a visual, intuitive tool that makes bug tracking simple, especially for non-technical team members. Without it, communicating bugs to the development team would be much more difficult and time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While BugHerd is extremely useful, sometimes the interface can feel slightly laggy when dealing with a high volume of tasks or comments. Additionally, integrating it into complex workflows can require a bit of setup time. However, these are minor drawbacks compared to the value it provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
BugHerd is a go-to tool for reviewing websites and landing pages. It makes it easy to pin feedback directly on the page and assign it to the right team members—no messy email threads or screenshots. It’s also great for collaborating with clients, who can leave comments without needing any technical know-how. It’s made our QA and revision process much more efficient. The only minor drawback is that adding team members can feel a bit clunky, and it sometimes takes a bit of explaining to get clients comfortable using the tool. That said, once they’re in, it’s easy to use—and the benefits far outweigh the small learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how BudHerd allows me to log my bugs in real time, but it allows the developer to fix at their own pace.
It's way better than emailing back and forth with screenshots.
It's way better than using a spreadsheet.
It just makes sense, and it was easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could more easily tell which tasks were complete, or see them organized in some way.
I would also love the bug log to be able to minimize so that if I'm copying and pasting text from the page, I don't have to close it out and start over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have tested several similar services and found all of them lacking in critical ways. BugHerd works incredibly well for our small team of developers and content managers. We deploy the software on all of our WordPress sites and it allows our clients to quickly supply feedback and submit change requests.
I reached out to support to help resolve some layout issues in various WordPress themes and builders and they have been very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a bit of a learning curve and some improvements that could make the modal that overlays the site a bit easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about bug her is the ability to collaborate with clients and have all of that documentation and one place for them to see as it goes through our workflow process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bugherd makes it easy to input a large volume of website edits, and as a project manager, it bridges the gap between client requests and development speak. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are several issues with screenshots not being taken when quickly adding mass edits, and often times the pin dropped goes to the wrong place when the task is submitted. Additionally, the extension sometimes breaks down, so you have to uninstall and reinstall the program, which is a pain. The tool is fantastic, but some maintenance and bug fixes must occur as we roll out Bugherd to our whole company. Also, please let bugherd integrate with Brave, not just chrome. Bugherd is an essential part of our development process, it streamlines ticketing by removing any questions our developers have by providing clear image drived feedback. It massively speeds up our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tool is great for identifying where the bugs are, but you still do need to clarify to your team what a good quality comment is when using it. For example, typing - "Fix this" isnt terribly helpful and comment. A Good description of the issue is still required for the most part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
