The easy way to search and identify topics that you want to research on helps a lot during market research. You can scan multiple earnings reports, annual reports and analyst reports seamlessly in a few moments that would otherwise take hours. I frequently use it for various proposals as well as competitor research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pulls filings and has lots of input sources Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Is so much harder to use than Sentieo and isn't intuitive at all. Very clunky and not optimized for work flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the easy access to any analyst reports as well as the dashboard functions allowing to have all key info on a topic of interest at once, and allowing to monitor the field on regular basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the sorting functions don't put the most relevant documents on the top (relevant in term of content). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How one can choose which areas to search in such as news, SEC filings, research, etc. This is helpful in narrowing down query results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Finding research pieces is often hard, inconsistent and there are times where I do not understand why I cannot find something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The possibility of making and personalizing dashboards that cluster different attributes from AlphaSense as per your best convenience, enabling the best experience when looking to monitor a specific landscape.
When I was a new user, training was simple and I was ready in just a few steps.
Also, customer support is great, I had questions about what sources to enable in my searches and how to set up dashboards, and I had a couple of people from AlphaSense contact me to walk me through the tool and even set up a sample of dashboards for me to ease up the process even more.
I consider AlphaSense to be a key tool in my day to day job, I use it almost every day, either within the tool itself or through the email alerts that can be easily set up and shared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you have a lot of dashboards, navigating through them can be confusing, I would like to have a way to cluster dashboards by topics, and that way have a cleaner navigation bar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AlphaSense provides a concise platform that has all the information I could possibly need all in one place. From research, to transcript, filings and general industry news, I am able to find anything I need and more quickly and concisely. The AI tools for keyword searches is incredibly accurate and often generates associated results I had not thought of searching for. I find the daily notification emails I've customized to be a great way to ensure I don't miss any relevant industry news. And then finally, whenever I encounter an issue (more often when I don't know how to perform a certain search), the support team is quick to respond and extremely knowledgeable. To be honest, the hardest part is just the vast accessibility of the information. You need to be thoughtful in your search to ensure you don't go down a tangential rabbit hole (which happens frequently). The two downsides to the program is the lack of an ability to auto-generate a PIB or other single document of consolidated information on public companies for senior leaders. Additionally, not having a more interactive SEC filing program that allows me to look across quarter / years / similar filings means that I have to maintain a separate subscription with Bamsec. That said, the we've been notified that AlphaSense is working to develop both these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Within my investment proces, Alphasense is really useful due to the following: 1) The layout of the central interface is very clear, as the user is able to see how many companies appear in a given word search, where in the filings the term/phrase occurred and the context of the term/phrase in the document. 2) The filters make it an efficient review, as I can exclude companies that are not relevant to my search. For example, I only look at companies in Europe and USA that trade >$20m ADV, so I can exclude companies that are not in my universe by filtering out those companies. Ultimately, this saves me time by not looking at companies I cannot look at as a potential investment opportunity. 3) The automated alerts are also helpful, as these help summarize new occurrences of my word search that are relevant. On a weekly basis, I get a summary of a word search term that is of interest to me. This helps summarize all of the relevant occurrences from new filings, which is easy to review. By being in an e-mail, I can review them on my phone on the way home from work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Based on my experience, the areas where Alphasense could improve are the following: 1) It would be helpful to have the ability to screen for insider buying/selling and be able to get a summary of insider transactions for a given company on a weekly basis just to identify any material changes. 2) It would be helpful for the product to provide blacklines for international (non-USA) companies. I find the USA blackline reports especially helpful, as I can quickly see what wording has changed from the previous filing. However, the blacklines appear to not be available for European companies. 3) Peer and larger customer information would be helpful to have on a concise screen. Some filings mention material (>10% of sales) customers. Therefore, it would be helpful to have a pre-arranged option to see the material customers for a given company. As this would be based on a word search, I think the preset option (i.e., material customers) would be possible to add as a feature to Alphasense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
