Very easy to get to grips with - you can produce animated videos simply and quickly without having to be an expert animator. Vyond has a wide range of characters, scenes and props to work with, and it's easy to upload extra image, video and sounds for use as well. The cusomisation options are great, including the ability to match brand colours, upload brand fonts, and even add branded elements to character clothing.
You can add custom voiceovers or use AI voice, and the level of the ultra-high quality voices surprised me. The AI features also make it easier to use, including the ability to generate photorealistic AI avatars. The combination of these makes a cost-effective alternative to organisations hiring video/voice actors, and also makes updating content simpler (it's easier to recreate an AI avatar or voiceover when the Code of Conduct gets updated next year than it is to try and track down the original voice actor and get them to re-record) .The recent change to allow all users AI credits is a great improvement, adding flexibility for all users to take advantage of those features.
There's no need for animation experience - if you've done any kind of basic video editing then the interface will be pretty familiar, and even if not I can't imagine it would take you very long to get to grips with it. I purchased my Vyond agency licence and within a few days had produced an animated explainer video for a paying client that they were very happy with - it's that easy to hit the ground with! Whilst you can choose from a range of three animated styles (Classic, Contemporary and Whiteboard) it would be great to see extra styles added, and even with the huge range of assets more characters, props and scenes would always be welcome! However, the ability to upload your own elements, create your own characters (including uploading photos to generate characters) and even add custom character animations via video capture help with this - and with more AI features in Beta to produce custom props in a given style, this is improving all the time. It works without much fuss. It's a fairy straightforward and easy to use. You can get up and running pretty quickly. It has a lot of features too. I really appreciate that the customer service team is responsive, reachable and genuinely listens. They take feedback into account and they are approachable. The product is always improving too. You can easily use Vyond for a quick filler video, or get really in depth and use custom colors, branding, etc. Good tool in the arsenal. Really easy to insert the video into e-learnings. They need a better way to sort, categorize or otherwise organize and describe voices. It's impossible to listen to them all, why not have description tags like "deep" or "high pitched". They also need to be able to use phonetic spelling better. And more consistently across voices! I use one voice, spend hours getting the phonetics right and then use a second voice and I have to start from scratch!!! Also wish they had more medical settings and avatars. Not currently using the team account, but previously did and it was difficult to create the library of resources as each person had to remember to share the video with others. It used to be not having closed caption. Vyond is super fun and easy to use, but there are a few things that could be better. Sometimes it runs a little slow, especially if you have a lot of animations in your video. I also wish there were more ways to customize characters and props to make videos more unique. The Vyond platform is very user-friendly, and their help library and templates are fantastic! Additionally, they are responsive to suggestions and recommendations for adding to different features. The community space is also a way to connect with other users and idea-sharing. With the new AI features added, Vyond continues to get better and more helpful to my group with rapid development, but not at the expense of engaging content. Customer care is second to none, including any technical issues that arise. Our learning organization recently upgraded our tier because of the value we've gotten from implementation. There is very little to dislike with Vyond for the features and price. If there is one thing I'd like to see as an enhancement, it's more versatility within their character creator, which is dependent on the type of character you choose. The options for dress, facial expressions, and accessories could be expanded. I do believe it will continue to expand, however, as this is a request from others in the Vyond community. I have been using Vyond as an instructional designer for a number of years. In that time I have found a number of ways to use it to greatly enhance my materials. It's constant evolution via its enhancements and new features has enabled me, on numerous occasions, to keep my own content fresh and innovative.

If I had to choose anything, i do find it a little frustrating to see announcements of new features or enhancements (such as new text-to-speech voices) that would seem to be part of my subscription package and then turn out to only be available at a higher subscription level. Vyond is a great tool for designing content, I mostly use it for corporate videos. It is really easy to use, I started learning from scratch but is great it has templates I can use while getting used to the platform. The only thing I can say is the software sometimes makes my computer slow down, I have a basic maachine and is not well-suited for graphic design, so with the software, I see my CPU working a lot more than with other programs and can slow down any other websites and applications I'm using. As a developer I can say this tool helps me create the most animated and engaging videos for training materials. I always get excellent feedback and it definitely helps me look like a professional even if I'm new at video creation.
