The new modules and the AWC UI. Teamcenter has evolved a lot from its IMAN and TC Rich client days. AWC is the way to go and Siemens is putting a lot of focus on all the right places.
The strength of TC and NX has been its open API policy. The whole Rich client and NX UI was built off of its own APIs, which has been easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its error messages sometimes, particularly in OOTB workflow handlers.
TC has to have a good set of REST APIs for good Web based integrations. It has a set of Rest APIs but not well documented and Customer Support suggests not to use. Going forward Teamcenter will have a major drawback if this gap is not addressed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It brings structure and clarity to our product lifecycle management. The thing that stands out the most is how well it handles version control and change management, especially across large teams.
It centralizes all the critical product data, which reduces confusion and makes cross-functional collaboration much smoother.
I also appreciate the flexibility in configuring workflows to fit our internal processes. It doesn't force us into a one-size-fits-all model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While TeamCenter is powerful, the user interface can feel outdated and unintuitive, especially for new users and for those who doesn't hand handy experience in tech.
The learning curve is fairly steep, and onboarding non-technical team members often takes longer than expected.
The system performance can lag occasionally, particularly during heavy data operations or complex searches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wild Cards to find Parts, Easy redirection to various functions within the application, and Large UI for primary windows I need to interface with. Large amount of new items that can be built for specific need cases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the symbols are cryptic, with hovering over them not really giving any hints to anything, Not to mention certain applications within teamcenter are able to open up items, but do not have any relevancy into interacting with the object itself. I guess in the openness of it there is a lot of moot accessibilities.

The vision of an ecosphere to help with digital engineering across the complete product life.
Tight integration to NX
Powerful configuration management with Multi-Unit Occurrence Effectivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frequent UI redesigns of Active Workspace. The rich client is too hard to abandon due to a more comprehensive admin experience.
On premise instance is now too customized to move to Tc X.
Siemens won't publish the golden environment they are trying to build in Tc X and document all the capability road map so it's always a sales/services discussion on moving to Tc X. We pay for SaaS licensing with a hope to some day MAYBE move to Tc X but it was more of a bullying of sales from our view.
Cumbersome to upgrade in large complex instances like ours.
Deployment center is still not smooth for our upgrades. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most features that are frequently used are now OOTB. The frequency of usage is very high in the organization. It has been easy to integrate with a number of CAD tools. And the users can use it very easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer support is very adamant about things working OOTB. Customization support is lacking to a very high degree. The implementation of the product across organization is not very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best-in-class PLM for Discrete manufacturing that is across industries and allows for good integration with other enterprise software such as ERP and MES. Has a very mature set of features and JT allows exchange of visual information. Siemens is very well positioned very well to enable Digital Thread capabilities among its peers right from Polarion for Requirements management to Opcenter to Shop floor Connect.
Intuitive to use for Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not much to dislike in a mature product like Teamcenter. However cross compatibility could be better to allow for Digital Thread - always room to improve there for all PLM software. Could be expensive for some small and mid sized businesses. The Saas version is not as flexible. Reporting could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Teamcenter provides a single shop for PLM processes, including Workflows, Change Management, Bill of Material Management, storage management, etc.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On the administrative side, Teamcenter is challenging to maintain and build over time. Admins and developers have to work with some more dated technologies and practices, limiting their exposure to cloud-based technologies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mainly the Product management solution and adoptability into the required business use cases. Large community base with good support and new innovative feature implementation and easy integration with many cad systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
thin client/ over the web is not that user friendly and not much of documentation about customization. Performance for loading huge assemblies can be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Teamcenter PLM has all standard PLM Functions working effectively and is very flexible to customize and has good integration with all other softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AI still need to be developed a lot which can reduce user efforts in Teamcenter similar to other softwares like SAP's Joule. Reporting within TC is very minimal, needs to procure a license separately for RA to get good analytics. This could have been improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve used and configured Teamcenter for over a decade. It’s a great tool as long as it’s set up and configured correctly — and this goes for everything from infrastructure to the client/application. The simpler things can be set up and maintained, the better the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be hard for users to pick up because it is a complex application. Proper training (sometimes advanced) is needed, and training is expensive — both when purchased from Siemens and when developed in house. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
