Customer support can be a bit hit-or-miss; responses might take a while. Still, if you're after a fuss-free domain experience, Google Domains is your go-to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Google Workspaces, it makes sense to manage our domains through Google as well. A central management platform integrates all parts of the digital workspace. The price is great and the transition and implementation is simple and straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is always some concern about relying on a single connection point for too many services, but it allows easy managment in this case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Google Domains for over 5 years now because of their simplicity and ease of use. I just have this one domain name I've been using, and I try to keep ownership of it, so that's why it is truly worth the yearly fee.
I also enjoy the custom email alias as well, I've made an alais and it really makes me look more professional to have my own .com email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Beyond domain name ownership and email alias, it is difficult get website support and find resources for website building tools. I linked my domain to Wix once, and it worked fairly well. I was impressed with the results. However, since making my Wix site offline, searching my Domain name leads to a 404 Wix page.
So, I feel lost in how to unlink my domain from Wix, I feel like Googel Domains should provide me some information on how to create my own landing page.
If I could pay an additional fee per year, I would love to have my Domain attached to an offial website or blog. That would be well worth the $12 a year fee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I like best about purchasing and managing domains with Google Domains is that they cut out all the extra stuff that GoDaddy and other registrars throw in your face. If you want a domain without all the extras, go with Google! Google Domains offers robust DNS management tools, allowing you to configure DNS records, set up custom subdomains, and even use Google's Cloud DNS for advanced DNS needs. The DNS management interface is straightforward, making it easy for users to make changes to their domain settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't a lot to dislike about it. It's a very straightforward registrar process. I like that you can make the domains private without paying an additional fee! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Your DNS will propagate instantly, I have yet to experience a DNS that propagates faster than Google Domain DNS.
2. Simple straightforward pricing.
3. Feature-rich dashboard
4. Easy to share access to your domains with others without sharing account logins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. It's 2023 and their service is still not available in some countries I can't wrap my head around the fact that such a big giant is unable to serve some geographic location, very annoying.
2. At times it feels like Google domains just really wants you to work with Google business suite, so if you are there just to buy a domain, be ready for google business suite ads almost everywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google Domains is the registrar I have always looked for. They are simple to use, their pricing is excellent, and they are powered by a giant. DNS changes are quickly reflected as well. One of the large reasons why we switched is due to the ridiculous costs of domain registration privacy offered by many other registrars. Google includes domain privacy by default with the cost of their domains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google Domains was purchased by a company that I do not trust.
I'm extremely displeased with this purchase and have moved to another registrar since then.
Our current registrar isn't as "all-in-one," but they're still great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google Domain offers the best domain provider to their customer. There are so many features in Google Domain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when we search many domains on their website they show that they are already sold to their broker. It is very sad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was literally the best domain management system. Simple, effective, linked to my GSuite account. It was a breeze.
I got a notification that Google sold the domain management service to Squarespace. It was so sad to hear that, Squarespace is a website builder and has a TERRIBLE UX for managing domains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They sold it to Squarespace. You can't even manage domains on Squarespace. You have to link it to one of their websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like most is the Competitive pricing of google domains, The pricing structure is quite Competitive andtransparent. and on the other thing is feel secure in the safety of my domain becasue of google name google is havinbg a good reputation in security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing i dislike is the somewhat limited selection of top-level domains (TLDs). Expanding the range of available TLDs would provide the good users interactions with more flexibility and options for domain customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google have this culture of keeping the management of their services with simple but well designed controls.
Google domains let you buy, modify DNS, customize email redirects and a little more. From the same panel without feeling obfuscated by many controls or options Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The recent transfer to Squarespace doesnt suite my needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
