264 SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Reviews

For me, SAP MDG's greatest strength is its ease of use. It transforms difficult data into a simpler process, making it simple to create and maintain consistent master data. This user-friendly approach improves my efficiency and trust in information across the entire organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me, the downside of SAP MDG is the potential for data manipulation if the rules and initial data aren't perfect. This shows the crucial need for strong data quality and precise configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The integrity of Master Data in WP1 system is what I liked most about it. It centrally distributes data which later was used to store, view and analyse. It was a essential part in our business organization to gather the data linked to many other relational data which was later used to create meaningful insights using SAP BW. The best part is, while we create new Master Data for a material, it has an option to refer to similar ones from past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the big disadvantage was few of the data entries once created were not possible to alter. It seems a good side while protecting the data against unauthorised edits but it makes it difficult for user to rectify mistakes for which they need to create another alternative Master Data blocking the previous one. One of the best parts is how it keeps your data clean. For example, it can stop you from entering the same supplier twice, or alert you if something important (like a tax number) is missing. You feel confident that the data in the system is reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What made SAP MDG extraordinary is that it brings together our entire master data in one place which helps to avoid any potential discrepancies of key information types including sites, customers, vendors, materials etc. Navigation through process became more simplified as operations are processed in a single system in comparison to it being in separate systems. The business processes are automated so, the approval process can be efficiently carried out with less time and energy spending as as well as allows full control over the quality of the data. And the most important thing is that this system ui is straightforward, so it specificed it easy to understand. What I do find pleasing is the possibility to impose data compliance standards in the mobile device through mandatory design frameworks with inbuilt validation rules thus giving one greater confidence in the data they are dealing in. The part I could define as a burden of the SAP MDG is its ‘implement’ part because it was so hard to go about implementing. Too much time was spent, and actually like almost every feature had to be bent about so we can use it, then we still needed help from outside. Large datasets also produced various issues as the system often weakened and this was quite annoying.it, on the other hand, lead to interruption of our operations. The 3rd aspect which stood as a challenge was the learning curve especially in terms of non-technical people. As attested to by many users, the system was quite involved for management but was still there with time and manpower. At another place they state that user acceptance was almost 100% but quickly adds that changes are not welcome easily and have to be worked on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
