As the revops manager, I like how simple to implement it is, and how simple to use. We onboarded Grain and no complaints from the team. It just works and records everything. Transcript is accurate, AI summary works like a charm; but both are mainly for English.
The product team is adding new features regularly, such as tagging people & commenting. It is really helpful for coaching. Conversatinal analytics were also missing but added recently. Clearly they are listening.
Cost-wise, it is not overpriced. An easy pick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe automatic categorisation can be improved. I would like to be able to record only "some" of my external meetings, or I would like to send the AI summary to my Slack only for "some" of the call etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The highlight feature is perfect for sharing customer insights quickly. I can use it to record all my online meetings, so I don't need to take notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing to dislike, it meets all my needs perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that grain is really easy to use and is a great way to go back and look at what was said during a meeting without having to take detailed notes the entire time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like Grain to build more functionality around managing shared folders and settings default behaviors around sharing to specific groups of people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can focus in paying attention to the meeting instead of getting distracted trying to get notes. Also I can create short clips of the meeting if I want to share with the team only the main part instead of the whole meeting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to be able to join to webinars and to have more than one language per meeting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This has changed how we do business. We use it everyday. Now people don't need to be syncronously in every meeting. If needed, someone can review the contents later - and that can be a specific clip or at 1.5x speed.
Some use cases this has helped with:
* What did the customer request or say on the call with sales? Now we have a record, not just heresay
* What is the context around customer feedback? Now we have it, and can share those clips, especially the encouraging ones, with the individuals building the product
* How do we get people onboarded? Have them watch calls, understand how to speak about issues, learn directly from what customers are saying
* What did we agree to in an internal meetings? We have a record
Grain helps with so many use cases and has truly deomcratized so many things that would be gatekept in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish Grain was slightly more intelligent about digesting who is talking and summarizing based on that. In external meetings, I need most of the summary focused on what the customer said. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Video recaps are easy to create and much more powerful than written notes
- Saves a ton of time taking notes
- Transcripts, highlights and stories lead to higher-quality research findings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- As the only one in my compay using it currently, it feels a little harder to directly share. However, the ability to drop + view clips directly into Slack has helped overcome that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Before Grain, I relied on Zoom recordings to record user interviews I was conducting. But sharing insights in a easy-to-consume way was hard. And these recordings mostly went into a Notion database to die. I mostly recorded them for later, if in any case, I would have to look something up.
But with Grain, I could easily timestamp something in an interview and share that snippet to Slack. I still remember my first time using Grain and how groundbreaking that felt! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our engineers don't speak German, and most of our users are in German. Grain also transcribes videos. Now if the transcript could be translated, and then Grain would automatically generated subtitles for the video — or even generate automated synchronized voice in a foreign language of the speaker (hello LLMs!), this would be HUGE! Then engineers could watch user interview although it wasn't in their language! Wow! Maybe it could happen almost live? Just a thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am an attorney and I work at a law school. One of my duties includes supervising law students to prepare them for civil rights and restorative justice presentations. Students and colleagues love the transcripts and video recordings because it ensures that they can get detailed notes about everything stated. It's also extremely helpful for note taking purposes for any meetings that we may have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly can't think of anything that I dislike about Grain. My only complaint is the limited nature of the free option as either monthly or yearly billing isn't very affordable in my line of work. However, I believe that it would be worth the money! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's super easy to use, transcribes calls, and makes it extremely simple to create clips that can be shared internally or externally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are lots of competitors in the market. Luckily, Grain has been awesome so far, so we haven't had any reason to look elsewhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Grain's highlight feature is a particular highlight! It has revolutionised the way we take and share meeting notes amongst our team.
We've also used grain for user interviews and the highlight reels went down very well with our client.
In terms of internal use, having grain auto-join meetings has been invaluable in the evidencing decisions and sign offs.
Get it! You won't regret it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm struggling with this one. I genuinely can't think of anything noteworthy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
