What do you like best about DataGuard?
To me, the main value I got out of DataGuard was in the professional services and access to a data protection lawyer whom could ease my way into the role of DPO and becoming acquainted with data protection legislation.
As for the platform, it was good to have a central platform where everything data protection is supposed to go, with workflows around updating the documentation of processing activities, letting the organization take courses and fill in assessments, as well as a place to document incidents. What do you dislike about DataGuard?
The platform can be a bit hard to navigate, especially when it comes to how it all fits together. It feels as if you fill in enough information into assessments and documentations to get an overview, but there isn't really that many features to e.g. trace where data comes from and where it goes in the end. Some of the courses could be a bit more polished, as the questions were often ambiguously worded so that even when you knew the answer, you still had to guess the intent behind the questions. What do you like best about DataGuard?
We have been working with Dataguard for some time now and are absolutely satisfied with the collaboration. Particularly noteworthy is the professional competence of our consultant Richard Z., who is always there to assist us with advice and action. He knows how to explain even complex data protection issues in an understandable and practical way. Thanks to his support, we feel well cared for and protected.
The Dataguard online platform is also excellently designed: it is extremely clear, user-friendly, and reliably guides us through all processes. This makes the implementation and compliance with data protection measures significantly easier and saves valuable time.

We really appreciated the helpful guidance towards establishing our ISMS in a way that is appropriate for our small company size. Additionally to our consultants, the dataguard platform (ISMS documention, Risk, Privacy, ...) helped us to find a structure that works for us and generated mandatory documentation that would have taken us ages otherwise. What do you dislike about DataGuard?
Not a particular dislike, a word of advice: the bulk of work of establishing the necessary documentation and adjusting it to the company needs still need to be done internally. So while Dataguard is very helpful when it comes to templates, tools and advice, you need someone in-house that is in the lead and is actively driving the progress of the project.
