AWS Organizations is a step up from the feature it replaced before, AWS Consolidated Billing. Before, AWS Consolidated Billing was a necessary but limited feature that allowed us to consolidate the billing of a common account for all the AWS accounts in our organization (specifically university.) AWS organizations allows us to do much more, such as creating accounts with automated tools via API, and can manage AWS accounts via OU. We can also assign tags to each account. It is very easy to segregate your accounts and apply service control policies. I like the AWSServiceRoles that get automatically created in all member accounts. The UX/UI needs some improvement
